Trying to install v12.08 on a laptop running Windows 8.1, getting "Unknown hardlock error!" Have followed many of the suggestions that I have found on the forum, without any luck. I have also seen many suggestions that it V12 is not compatible and that a v16 upgrade is the answer. Some of the posts I am reading are more than a year old, so am curious if there is still no one running 12 on 8.1?

Hi Barry,

I think the advice is the same - if the latest hardlock driver doesn't work, then yes, I suggest upgrading to DataCAD v16.
