A coworker is able to unselect an entity after he has picked it in the move or copy command by clicking on it again. Does anyone know if there is a preference that you can change to be able to do this.

This has been covered here before. You shouldn't be able to in v.11 or earlier.

Well he has version 11 along with the rest of us. He says he didnt change anything to be able to do that, but he can select and deselect entities as much as he wants.

Has every one updated to the most recent version? Are the version numbers the same on all PC's?

Yeah we all have 11.08.01 and we have checked for updates.

If all are updated to the most recent version then I would try copying the dcadwin.exe file from the PC where deselecting is possible to all the other machines.

Just a thought that might be worth a try.

This is a new feature of DataCAD 12. It was prototyped during the DataCAD 11 development cycle, and at one point an update was inadvertently posted that had this feature turned on for our in-house testing purposes. Your associate must have installed the update during that brief period of time.

Since this feature is not intended to be in DataCAD 11, and was not thoroughly tested in that version, the update that contained this feature was taken down and replaced by the current DataCAD 11.08.01 update, which does not include this feature. If you manually download and install the update to 11.08.01, this feature will be turned back off.
